New Neighborhood Development Proposed for Reading, PA
Edward Giannasca, president and CEO of the Giannasca Development Group LLC, has proposed the RiverView at Reading, a $1 billion neighborhood development that would bring nine new buildings, 2,000 apartments and condos, shops, restaurants, offices and a waterfront park to the area around Canal Street.
The 32-acre project would be done in phases over eight years starting this summer, Giannasca said.
For now, Giannasca is in Reading for a few days every two weeks to work out the project's details.
In addition to his own office, work soon will begin on a sales and marketing office in his Canal Street building, he said.
